In September 2021 the Mamounia received the Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Best Hotel in the World Award for the second time in three years.

ALAN KEOHANE's name has also become synonymous with hotel photography in Morocco, where he is well known for his imagery of many of the most famous hotels in the country.

He was responsible for all the rebranding photography for the Mamounia during 2020 and 2021. In 2019 Alan Keohane's photography launched the new Oberoi Marrakech and the Marchica Lagoon Resort in Nador.

Alan's other hotel clients include the Michlifen, Royal Mansour, Fairmont Royal Palm, Four Seasons Marrakech, Hyatt hotels, Sofitel and Movenpick as well as many of the top end Riads including Riad 72, Riad Kheirredine, Le Farnatchi, Riad Siwan, Les Yeux Bleues and Pure Riads.

He is the author of the books "Berbers of Morocco" and "Bedouin, Nomads of the Desert" and has contributed to numerous books such as the Assouline book on the Mamounia and the Dorling Kindersley's Top 10 guide to Marrakech.

In recent years he has collaborated with John Gregory Smith on his books "Orange Blossom and Honey" and "Saffron in the Souks".
